Singapore telco M1 Limited (M1), info-security provider e-Cop, and application security company Radware, announced the launch of a new managed security service for enterprises yesterday.
According to its media statement, the cloud-based service utilises Radware’s networks and application security technologies, which will deliver advanced threat protection from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks to M1’s enterprise fibre broadband customers.
DDoS attacks are designed to overwhelm an enterprise’s network resources and compromise its website, and M1’s DDoS mitigation service employs Radware’s integrated multilayer security solution to detect and mitigate both volumetric and graduated DDoS attacks in the network and application layers, service cracking and application scans. This enables M1 to provide customers an “Always-On” cleanpipe that can proactively detect DDoS attacks and filter off attack traffic from its intended target, while allowing legitimate data to continue on to its destination in real time.
To help enterprises further optimise their manpower resources, this mitigation service will include proactive monitoring and traffic analysis by e-Cop’s 24x7 Security Operations Centre manned with e-Cop security experts, to allow enterprises to focus on core aspects of their businesses.
“Our customers trust us to maintain their business critical operations, and we are pleased to partner e-Cop and Radware to deliver superior security coverage to protect them from a wide array of online threats and keep their businesses protected at all times,” said Willis Sim, Director, Product Development and Enterprise Services of M1.
