Satellite communications provider ITC Global, announced today its plans of expanding its business presence in the Asia Pacific region with the launch of a new office in Singapore.
According to its media statement, the new Singapore office brings additional facilities and personnel closer to customers in the offshore energy and commercial maritime markets. It will also provide sales, engineering and customer support resources, with near term additions in field operations.
Spearheading the company’s Singapore operations is Ashok Rao, the newly-appointed Director of Asia Development for ITC Global, who has formerly held senior leadership roles at EMAS and Schlumberger.
Over the last two years, the company has methodically expanded its global coverage and local presence, through a private equity recapitalisation and a series of acquisitions and capital investments. The new Singapore office follows ITC Global's expansion earlier this year in the European market, with the opening of new operations in Aberdeen, Scotland to support clients in the North Sea region.
"We are very excited to be establishing ITC Global offices in Singapore,” said Chris Hill, ITC Global’s Chief Technology Officer and Managing Director for Asia Pacific. “As a major hub for both the energy and maritime industries, the new offices enable us to be closer to our clients' operations.”
“And with Ashok's leadership and extensive experience on both the supplier and end-user side of remote communications, our customers will benefit from a team that truly understands their unique requirements,” he added.
