SAS and leading IT training vendor to help grow data analytics talent pool in Singapore

Analytics company SAS is partnering with Avantus Training to set up a SAS Accredited Training Centre (ATC) in Singapore.

As the only SAS ATC in the country, Avantus will help SAS engage with companies or individuals who are looking to upgrade their existing capabilities in order to match the rising demand for talent in the field of data analytics, the analytics company said in a statement today.

"SAS is honored to unveil Avantus as our education partner. Singapore wants to grow local capabilities in data analytics, and SAS is fully committed to helping her achieve that ambition. With this agreement, we can deliver more high quality training that is ultimately critical to growing the local analytics talent pool," said Francis Fong, Managing Director, SAS Singapore.

"Companies are increasingly looking to data analytics to drive better decision making, but talent is not always available," said Lawrence Ng, Chief Executive Officer, Avantus.

"We are proud to be working with SAS to provide an open learning platform for all professionals who are looking to expand their skillset in analytics. With our team of over 10 people, we will be able to provide top-tier training courses for all current SAS offerings and certifications,"

Avantus will provide training for all current SAS offerings and all certifications to corporate customers, academics, partners and self-funded individuals.

Avantus will also become an avenue to drive awareness for SAS education services, especially to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
