Local human resources analytics firm chooses SAS Visual Analytics to drive SME profitability and employee engagement.

Homegrown human resources analytics company Lee Wenyong & Co. has adopted SAS Visual Analytics to help its small and medium enterprise (SME) customers make significantly better-informed business decisions on performance management.

The SAS Institute announced this yesterday at the SAS Forum Singapore 2014.

Lee Wenyong & Co. is apparently Singapore’s first SME to implement SAS Visual Analytics – a high-performance, in-memory solution designed to explore any amount of data. According to the software company’s media statement, SAS Visual Analytics is able to quickly read data into memory for ultra-fast processing and data visualisation. Results are then visually presented via online reports, or iPad and Android tablets. Thereafter, users can identify patterns, trends and relationships in data that may not have been apparent, allowing them to uncover unexpected insights, find answers to complex problems, and quickly identify new and better courses of action.

Lee Wenyong & Co.’s signature product, the Sollers System, is powered by this software, which helps to aggregate, normalise, categorise, analyse all data relevant to sales and HR directors, providing SMEs with rich insight into what drives sales and their employees.

“As a blast-up, we recognise that we are going up against larger and more established competition. We see technology and analytics as a key competitive differentiator, and decided that SAS Visual Analytics is the only solution to drive our business forward to make a strong positive impact on the businesses of our SME clients,” said Max Lee Wenyong, founder, and HR Director and Partner of the firm.

“What stood out for us about SAS Visual Analytics is the ability to explore and visualise complex HR data and trends. Data derived from excel spreadsheets is voluminous and unstructured, and so the ability to visualise current information and then offer comprehensive predictions is valuable. The intuitive user-interface and customisable data layout makes it easy for us to share business insights with our SME clients, enabling us to produce fast yet accurate answers to our SME customers’ toughest questions.”

Francis Fong, Managing Director of SAS Singapore added that analytics and data visualisation will play an increasingly critical role for businesses, regardless of their size.

"Analytics offers a powerful means for businesses to capitalise on their data assets. By using analytics, Lee Wenyong & Co. is creating a huge competitive advantage for itself, and we are very pleased to provide the technology for this,” Fong said.

“Any company, large or small, can benefit from analytics to mine data to find new opportunities and drive better business results. Lee Wenyong & Co.’s decision to place its trust in SAS Visual Analytics affirms the value of this powerful solution to business of all sizes.”
